At 16 Henry has performed at major Festivals including Tamworth, Gympie, Winton and Maleny.  A CMAA Academy graduate, Top 20 Busker and TDP student, he has also won prestigious Songwriting Competitions. Another big year lies ahead with pending appearances at several prominent festivals, and new music on the way. 

HENRY CATANIA – MED BIO (98 WORDS) 

At just 16, emerging artist Henry Catania is making waves on the Australian festival circuit. Based in Conondale, QLD, he began busking on the Sunshine Coast and now plays regular gigs and festivals, including Gympie, Caloundra and Tamworth. In 2025, he was a Top 20 Busker at Tamworth, graduated the CMAA Junior Academy and a student of TDP.  He’s placed in multiple talent comps and released two singles in 2024.  With a growing reputation for original songs and hard work, another big year lies ahead with pending appearances at several prominent festivals, and new music on the way. 

HENRY CATANIA – FULL BIO (290 WORDS)

At just 16, Henry Catania is building a solid reputation in the Australian music scene the traditional way, through consistent gigs, strong original songs, and showing up ready to play. Based in Conondale, Queensland, he got his start busking around the Sunshine Coast and quickly became a regular on the local live circuit. These days, he’s stepping onto major festival stages and making a name for himself as a reliable young performer with something real to offer.

In the past couple of years, Henry’s been invited to perform at some of the country’s leading regional events, including the Gympie Music Muster, Caloundra Music Festival, 1770 Festival, and the Tamworth Country Music Festival, where he’s been named among the Top 20 Buskers.  He ended 2025 with appearances at the Winton Outback Festival, Brisbane’s Italian Festival and the Maleny Music Festival, which he also helped to coordinate and MC.

In 2025, Henry graduated from the CMAA Junior Academy of Country Music, where he worked alongside some of the industry’s most respected mentors and peers.  He was then accepted into the prestigious Talent Development Project in Sydney. 

Henry continued to make his mark in the talent search circuit, placing second at the Stanthorpe Busking Championships, third at the Ekka Country Music Showdown, and a finalist in events like the Country Stars Talent Search and the Gympie Muster Talent Search.

Off the back of his song writing win at the 2023 Caloundra Live & Local Song writing Competition, Henry released two singles in 2024 — Hide & Seek and Turn Around — and is working on new music in between gigs and school.

Henry is currently locking in his schedule for 2026, where he’ll return to busking, local showcases, new songs and pending appearances at several prominent festivals.
