My New Guitar

In September this year we went out to Winton where I performed on the main stage of the Winton Outback Festival, I was so excited to be opening for Amber Lawrence, and it was just the best experience.

Me on the main stage at Winton

BUT.  It was also quite sad.  My beloved Cole Clark guitar, which I have had for the last four years got dropped and damaged.

A big crack right down the middle

I was gutted, yes, I even cried.  That guitar had been with me through heaps of gigs, trips, and song writing sessions.

I was lucky however that Dad thought to take out insurance before we went out there, so I was able to claim the damaged, which meant I could get it replaced.  I knew I still wanted a Cole Clark guitar because they are just the best guitars.  And luckily enough, I found out that Cole Clark were doing a road show at my one of my favourite music stores, Mooloolaba Music.

The roadshow was amazing, Miles the CEO of Cole Clark was there, and explained all about their guitars, how they are made, what makes them so special and unique. By the end of the talk, I just knew I had to have one.  And this beauty caught my eye.

I love my new Guitar

It is made from Camphor Laurel and has beautiful pearl inlays.  Not only did it look beautiful but the sound was incredible.   Bright, full, and perfect for everything I play.

If you don’t know much about Cole Clark, they’re made in Australia using native timbers and have the best pickups that give an amazing sound.  They’ve been making guitars since 2001, and each one is unique.

I actually picked this one up at lunch time on Friday and went straight to the Maleny Music Festival where I played it for the first time.  I can’t believe how many comments I got about it, about how it looks and how it sounds.

Using it for the first time @ Maleny Music Festival

I can’t thank Miles and Mooloolaba Music enough for helping me pick out this guitar and making the whole experience awesome.
